DailyWire+’s ‘Foundations Of The West’ Nominated For Movieguide Award
The series “Foundations of the West” from DailyWire+, in which Dr. Jordan B. Peterson explores ancient Western cities, has been nominated for a 2025 Movieguide Award.
The awards show, which honors faith and family films and television shows, announced the nominations for its 32nd ceremony via Deadline. Among them was “Foundations of the West: Episode III: Christ, the Center of the World,” which was nominated for the “Best Documentary Award.”
“Jonathan Pageau joins Jordan in the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus spent his last night before being arrested,” a description of the episode reads. “Then, Jonathan and Jordan walk down the Via Dolorosa, the road on which Jesus walked to his crucifixion. While visiting these sites, the two discuss Jesus’ journey to willing sacrifice and why remembering these places help hold the West together.”
Throughout the series, Peterson speaks with experts as they explore these ancient places while uncovering their impact on the modern world. Interviewees have included Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro (Jerusalem), Spencer Klavan (Athens), and Bishop Robert Barron (Rome).
Other notable movies nominated this year are the Lionsgate hit “Unsung Hero,” the true inspirational story about the Smallbones, the family behind the hugely successful Christian band, For King & Country.
It is up for multiple awards, including “Best Movie for Mature Audiences,” “Epiphany Prize for Movies,” along with Daisy Betts and Joel David Smallbone being nominated for “Grace Prize for Movie Performance.”
Angel Studios’ “Cabrini” has also been nominated for three Movieguide Awards: “Faith and Freedom Award for Movies” and “Epiphany Prize for Movies,” while actress Cristiana Dell’Anna was nominated for “Grace Prize for Movie Performance.”

Movieguide CEO Robby Baehr said in a statement, “There has been so much devastation to our city, we feel there is no better time to come together for strength and hope.”
“We want to celebrate those who bring joy and entertainment to the big screen and provide a space where families come together to escape from the world around them,” he added. “We also want to honor the First Responders who risked their lives to save Los Angeles. We must continue to lean on each other and help find the light in the darkness.”
