Celebrities Cheer For President Trump’s Inauguration: ‘God Bless America’

Several celebrities expressed their excitement over the inauguration of President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

Former “Full House” actress Candace Cameron Bure shared an Instagram image carousel that included several photos of President Trump and first lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha, and a video of Carrie Underwood singing “God Bless America” a cappella.

“Happy Inauguration Day!!! God Bless America,” Bure wrote in the caption. The actress also shared in Instagram Stories that it was “an exciting day.”

Dean Cain posted a photo of himself in Washington, D.C., for the big event, writing in the X post caption, “What a day!!” alongside an American flag emoji.

Actor James Woods, another outspoken Trump supporter, put his thoughts on X. “I am in tears. God bless America and President Trump,” he shared just after noon on Tuesday, during the inauguration ceremony.

Brittany Aldean, wife of country star Jason Aldean, also gushed about Inauguration Day events. She shared an old photo of Trump to her Instagram Stories with the caption, “TODAY.” Aldean posted photos of herself and her husband dressed up on Monday night.

“INAUGURATION NIGHT,” the caption said. “What a ride it’s been! Today has made all the scrutiny worth it. Wouldn’t change a thing.”

Multiple other stars and public figures attended the events in Washington throughout the day. Jake and Logan Paul were seen at the inauguration, as were comedian Theo Von and UFC president Dana White. Podcast host Joe Rogan was there, as were several tech CEOs, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai, and Tim Cook.

Conor McGregor and race car driver Danica Patrick were spotted in Emancipation Hall in the Capitol, where an overflow room was set up, per Forbes.

While most anti-Trump celebrities didn’t post anything to social media on Tuesday, several made their negative opinions known. Actor John Cusack instructed his followers not to watch the inauguration.

“I recommend not to watch one second of the inaugural snuff film currently being broadcast. It is totally meaningless,” he shared on X.

Ariana Grande shared multiple Instagram posts from leftist activists throughout the day, including one from transgender-identifying lawyer Chase Strangio and one from the advocacy group Trans Equality Now.

Jamie Lee Curtis shared a photo to Instagram Tuesday morning that said, “Chances I won’t use the word f*** in a sentence today,” with an embroidered pie chart including the options, “none” and “also none but in yellow.”

Another of Curtis’s Instagram stories was a re-post that said, “In a time of hate, love is an act of resistance. In a time of fear, faith is an act of resistance. In a time of misinformation, education is an act of resistance. In a time of poor leadership, community is an act of resistance. In a time like this, joy is an act of resistance. Resist, resist, resist.”

Barbara Streisand wrote on Bluesky that she would miss former President Joe Biden because, according to her, “he knows that in times of national crisis, we are not divided by political parties.”

Horror author Stephen King complained about the inauguration event being moved inside. He also blamed Trump for Biden’s last-minute flurry of presidential pardons.

King wrote on Bluesky, “That Biden should have to issue preemptive pardons for men and women who defended the Constitution is a sad comment on Trump’s vengeful nature.”
