‘Republican’ Hosts Of ‘The View’ Square Off Over Biden Family Pardons
Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro squared off on Tuesday’s broadcast of “The View” on ABC, taking opposite positions on former President Joe Biden’s 11th-hour blanket pardons for members of his own family.
Griffin and Navarro, both of whom self-identify as Republicans in spite of their support for far-Left former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race, argued over whether Biden had set a dangerous precedent on his way out the door.
“I was floored that Joe Biden pardoned his whole family, and let me tell you why,” Griffin began. “He’s either — the most charitable interpretation is the Titanic is sinking, I’ve got a life raft for my family, but anyone else who challenged Trump, you better swim or you’re drowning. That’s my most charitable interpretation.”
“And finally, he didn’t do anything to protect people who testified against Donald Trump unless they happened to be wrapped up with the police officers, and it sets a very dangerous precedent,” she continued. “Now Donald Trump can basically advise staff and his family to do anything unlawful and then just issue a blanket pardon when he leaves office. I think it’s disgraceful and it’s going to harm his legacy.”

“Can I just say, I think comparing Biden’s pardons to Trump’s is like comparing apples to Volkswagens,” Ana Navarro cut in. “It does not seem similar to me because Joe Biden’s family, the people he pardoned on the January 6th Committee, have not actually committed crimes, he is trying to prevent them from spending the rest of their lives fighting the government, which is no easy feat.”
Navarro made no mention of the congressional investigation into Biden’s family members and their foreign business dealings, nor did she mention that less than two weeks earlier, Biden had said he had no intention of issuing pardons to anyone who had not committed any crimes.

Liberal cohost Sunny Hostin also defended Biden for issuing the pardons, claiming that she would have done the same for her own family had she been in his place.
