The 5 songs Minneapolis listened to the most in 2024, according to Spotify
Minneapolis was not sipping on “Espresso” this year.
On Wednesday, Spotify released its 2024 Wrapped, which provides users with a personalized reflection of their year in music with top artists, songs and more. According to the music-streaming app, the top five songs that Minneapolis listened to in 2024 were:
-
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey
-
“Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone
-
“I Had Some Help” (feat. Morgan Wallen) by Post Malone
-
“I Remember Everything” (feat. Kacey Musgraves) by Zach Bryan
-
“Stick Season” by Noah Kahan
Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” ranked in almost every other major city’s most streamed songs — except Minneapolis.
While the jury is out on what the rest of the state listens to, Minneapolis had all the same songs as St. Louis and Denver, and three in common with Nashville and Detroit.
Spotify shared that other findings from 2024 Wrapped showed country music crossing over and doing well with bigger audiences thanks to artists like Beyoncé and Post Malone, and that eight of the top 10 most-streamed albums were by women.
Taylor Swift was the most-streamed artist on Spotify in the U.S. and around the world, and her latest album “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” was the most-streamed album in the U.S.
“The Joe Rogan Experience” was the most-streamed podcast in the U.S., and “A Court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J. Maas was the top U.S. audiobook.
