Tom Holland Says He’ll ‘Disappear’ From Hollywood When He Has Kids: ‘Golf And Dad’

British actor Tom Holland told Men’s Health that his Hollywood career will be over after he has kids.

The 28-year-old star of “Spiderman: No Way Home” made the remarks during an interview published Thursday in Men’s Health.

“When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore,” Holland said of his plans. “Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”

It’s not the first time the actor has mentioned wanting to settle down and have kids away from the spotlight. “I’ve spent the last six years being so focused on my career,” Holland told People in a 2021 interview. I want to take a break and focus on starting a family and figuring out what I want to do outside of this world.”

“I love kids. I can’t wait to be a dad — I can wait and I will, but I can’t wait!” he added. “If I’m at a wedding or a party, I’m always at the kids’ table hanging out. My dad’s been such a great role model for me. I think I’ve got that from him.” Holland said that, for his next career move, he’d like to be “a primary school teacher or something like that.”

The A-lister has been in a public relationship with his “Spiderman” co-star Zendaya since 2021 following years of dating rumors. The couple met on set in 2016. During the Men’s Health interview, Holland talked about why he and Zendaya don’t walk the red carpet together if they’re not both in the same project.

“Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” he explained.

During the course of the interview with Men’s Health, Holland also talked about his decision to quit drinking. “I’m quite strong-willed. When I decide to do something, I’m really gonna do it,” he said. “I leaned on close ones a lot: family, friends, old colleagues, new colleagues, people that reached out that I didn’t know who also were sober.”

“[My lawyer] gave me a really poignant piece of advice that helped me get through everything, which was: You’ll never wake up the morning after a night out and wish you had a drink. That piece of advice really rang true to me, because my problem was that I would have one drink and be fine, and then I would just go too far,” Holland added.

Holland and Zendaya will star in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” alongside Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, and other Hollywood celebs. The film is set to premiere in theaters on July 17, 2026, from Universal Pictures. “Spider-Man 4” from Sony and Marvel is slated to release on July 24, 2026.
